Aluminum Alloy AK5M
Description: aluminum high-strength, heat-resistant casting alloy used for shaped castings. AK5M alloy is a special casting material based on aluminum. It is a heat-resistant alloy of the AlSi-Cu-Mg type. The old name of the material is AL5.

In addition to aluminum , the composition of the alloy includes:
- Silicon — 4.5 — 5.5%, which improves the fluidity of the alloy in the liquid state, reduces thermal shrinkage, eliminates the risk of hot cracks, increases wear resistance;
- Magnesium — 0.35 — 0.6% in combination with silicon significantly strengthens the alloy due to the formation of the Mg2Si compound;
- Copper — 1.0 -1.5% increases strength
